My ford ka steering wheel making scraping noise?

it did it before only 3 months ago, but it was a noise that sounded like it was on a chain, so it was a different noise but i dont know if this is what it sounded like to start off, i cant remember, basically when it happened before, the next day my key got stuck in the ignition and i had to get the ignition barrel repaired by a car locksmith... its started to now make a scraping noise if stationary or moving, and even moving round the slightest corners. i am so worried about it, i cant afford anything for car at mo!! i am worried in case it is doing what it did before? i have sprayed compressed air inside and tapped the dashboard etc??
