How can you pick a door lock with a hole in the left side of the knob?

i locked my self out of my room &&' i dnt have a key but i noticed ther was a little hole on the left side of the knob but i dnt know what i could do with that. the door is to close to the frame so i cant use a knife or a card also i dont have money for a locksmith. any ideas.?
