As a renter do i have the right to have a key to every lock on the property included in my lease?

I recently locked the garage door opener in my car in the garage and called my property management company who told me they do not have the keys to those locks...so $150 and a locksmith later I now have my garage door opener back. As a renter I feel I should have access to the key to the garage which I pay rent for every month so something like this is avoided in the future...
