My boyfriend and I have been together for a little over 4 yrs. We are committed to one another and deeply in l?

We don't live together although we did for a couple years when we first got together. Then I waited a year for him while he served time. All during the time he was in prison he called me his fiance'. Then when he got out we continued living together for a couple of months. I became just the girlfriend again. That made me believe that all he was doing while he was in jail was giving me 'jail talk'. Just saying things to help his time go faster and better and what he possibly thought I wanted to hear although I never ever had referred to marriage. We made a few bad choices along the way and I ended up taking him to his folks home to visit his son and just never returned to get him. (which wasn't a big deal because he knows the way back to my house) Since then we have both cleared our heads. He lives with his parents and he now is gainfully employed making decent money. We do the weekend relationship thing. We get along great except for two things that just eat at me. (and that trickles down in to other things sort of) He does a lot of saying one thing and never following through. And he will do this kind of thing: Hey Babe I will see you tomorrow and when tomorrow comes he never shows and I find out from his Mother when i call for him that he's gone out crabbing for the weekend or whatever. He says he does that because I get 'pissy' about it. Well, the truth be told he has never even given me the chance to get 'pissy' about things like that because he never tells me about them. He just goes and leaves me wondering what the hell??? And he now is telling me he wants to get married. I don't know how he could possibly want to be married when he wont come and live with me. (because I have asked him to) Or maybe it's just that his idea of marriage and mine are two different things. I love him dearly and cannot imagine being with anyone else. How do I get him to understand he needs to communicate with me? He doesn't like to talk about anything that makes him uncomfortable. Help please!! Thank you in advance for your input.
